Just completed a very successful media roundtable on PC power management. On the back of a Green IT survey of 122 organisations, the session was hosted by our client Verismic Software and chaired by Jean Ritchie, former service director at the University of Edinburgh Data Compute Facility. It was a very lively debate with lots of dicussion around cloud computing, the legal implications of organisatons failing to recognise their responsibility to reduce carbon emissions (thanks to Mark Bailey, Speechly Bircham LLP for your valued input to session on this area in particular!!) Chris Bullock, CEO from S3 Consulting and representing the Climate Savers Computing Initiative had some great thoughts on how changing individual cultural attitudes within the workplace is am important as the technology itself, Pete Foster from Green IT Review agreed. And of course a media roundtable would not be complete without the media! So, thanks to Peter Judge, eWeek Europe, and Steve Evans from CBR for your contribution. Look forward to reading the resulting coverage.

We'll be attending BETT show on Friday - for our sins! I read on Joe Wilcox's blog this morning (Joe is BETT's content director) his own description of the show. Whilst slightly self-congratulatory (as you would expect) he is absolutely right...
"BETT has built its reputation over the past 26 years to become the world’s largest technology in education show. Each year visitors flock to see the latest and greatest in technology for the classroom."
This really is one of the last shows in the calendar where you can guarantee a packed floor, no walking space, no breathing space... it honestly never ceases to amaze me! We’ll report back on Friday and let you know what it is like.

Just back from EHI Live 2010. We only attended day two (Tuesday 9th). It wasn't busy on the floor, but the seminar sessions were pretty busy. I'm told there were around 20 people in the 12:00-13:00 big picture seminar, just to give you an idea of numbers. We also spoke to a few exhibitors who said Monday was pretty quiet.
